Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)
  • Experience in construction, or technical equipment procurement (RTUs, AHUs, refrigeration, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of contract interpretation, SLAs, and supplier negotiations
  • Proven ability to develop KPIs, MSAs, and vendor scorecards to track and enhance performance
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and global teams
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen to support strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Background in engineering, preferably from a construction or facilities environment
  • Experience in managing equipment categories such as RTUs, AHUs, and refrigeration systems
  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret vendor agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and contractual terms, ensuring they reflect Walmart’s business interests and operational requirements
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) for vendors, holding them accountable for service quality and performance
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring consistent service delivery and continuous improvement in line with Walmart’s standards
  • Monitor category spend and collaborate with Global Sourcing to plan and support RFP initiatives that drive cost optimization and category excellence
  • Partner with business teams to identify, assess, and onboard new vendors that meet Walmart’s quality, compliance, and performance expectations
  • Support the Purchase Order (PO) execution team by ensuring that rates, terms, and conditions in POs align with market benchmarks and sourcing outcomes
  • Work closely with Canada Sourcing, Global Sourcing, and U.S. Walmart teams to ensure vendor management practices, processes, and contractual frameworks are harmonized across regions
  • Provide analytical insights into category performance, market trends, and vendor efficiency to support sourcing decisions and strategic planning
  • Ensure compliance with Walmart’s sourcing policies, financial controls, and governance frameworks in all vendor interactions and agreements
  • Manage vendor relationships, optimize service and supply agreements, and ensure alignment across Canada, Global Sourcing, and U.S. Walmart teams
