Candidates must have proficiency with hand and power tools and the ability to follow directions from multiple sources. They should be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally, able to differentiate colors for color-coded wiring, and possess manual dexterity for small tool work. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, as well as the ability to work in diverse environments and climb ladders or kneel for extended periods. Reliable transportation is necessary if a company vehicle is unavailable.
The Cable Install Technician will install CAT5e, CAT6, Coax, and Fiber Optic cables in various environments while complying with all safety standards and codes. They will run cables from telecom equipment racks to end locations, install cable pathways such as trays and j-hooks, and install MPLS, faceplates, and jacks with proper numbering and labeling.
