Bachelor's Degree (±16 years) in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Responsibilities

Creates and processes purchase orders (direct and indirect), including subcontract purchase orders, third-party manufacturing orders, and purchase order changes, in accordance with documented procurement processes
Executes procurement plans, reports supplier performance, aligns with contracts, and processes purchase requests, ensuring timely and uninterrupted flow of materials between suppliers and distribution sites
Communicates purchase order status with Management and Stakeholders
Manages orders through completion and executes closures once fulfilled
Interacts with suppliers, maintaining and enhancing good business relationships between Abbott and suppliers
Communicates component specifications to suppliers
Mitigates invoicing issues
Updates vendor performance data
Supports development of supplier scorecards and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Manages the implementation of suppliers (including ensuring the ordering of appropriate first articles and validations)
Facilitates cost savings and quality improvement projects through purchasing
Manages material master data in ERP
Uses continuous improvement to establish metrics, drive KPIs, standardize, and automate tactical activities over time
Supports site projects that contribute to organizational goals
Provides audit support of purchasing policies and procedures
Responsible for obtaining finished goods and equipment, processing requisitions, creating Purchase Orders, and executing transactions efficiently and accurately according to Division and Corporate policies
Works closely with Category Managers, Global Supply and Demand Planners, and key partners in the Division
Provides vendor reliability data, monitors cost, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value, minimizing total cost of transactions without affecting service levels
