Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Operations Management, or a related field, along with proven experience in business operations, including cross-functional collaboration, relationship management, and contract management. Strong organizational and execution skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in relevant software and tools for invoicing, contract tracking, and project management. Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to solve problems independently are also necessary, along with a proactive approach to taking charge and completing tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

The Business Operations Manager will serve as the primary contact for vendors, handling day-to-day relationship management, proactively resolve issues, track deliverables, and maintain accountability. They will prepare, submit, and track invoices, manage payment workflows, and ensure timely processing of vendor bills. The role involves owning the process of drafting, submitting, and tracking NDAs, SOWs, and other agreements, partnering with Legal and Compliance to expedite contract movement. Additionally, the manager will create and track purchase orders, collect vendor documentation, and ensure proper onboarding, and work closely with research and cross-functional teams to define project scopes, build timelines, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery. They will own project trackers and documentation, securing necessary approvals, drive multi-team projects to completion, and adapt to shifting needs by troubleshooting issues, prepping reports, leading vendor kickoffs, and resolving blockers to maintain business continuity. Finally, the manager will identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to simplify workflows and automate repetitive tasks, supporting team growth.
