Position Overview

Tatari is transforming TV advertising by enabling businesses of all sizes to advertise on TV through a platform that combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to lead and expand our internal reporting function, driving the strategic direction of our Tableau reporting environment. This hybrid manager/individual contributor role involves managing a team of BI Analysts and directly contributing to dashboard development. The ideal candidate is a rising leader with strong Tableau skills, a passion for data storytelling, and a commitment to operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a geographically distributed team of Business Intelligence Analysts (currently two direct reports), with potential for growth.
  • Player-Coach Role: Contribute 25–50% as an individual contributor, focusing on high-impact dashboard builds and updates, depending on team bandwidth and project urgency.
  • Reporting Tools Leadership: Lead the development and administration of internal reporting tools, primarily Tableau, with potential to expand to platforms like Looker.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across Client Services, Media Buying, Leadership, and Product to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable dashboards.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain clean, scalable data pipelines and workflows to power dashboards and reporting tools.
  • BI Roadmap Execution: Execute the BI roadmap under the direction of the Director of Data Science to streamline internal reporting, reduce manual effort, and support new feature prototyping.
  • Advocacy & Enablement: Serve as a reporting and visualization advocate across the company, helping teams leverage dashboards for KPIs, client performance, and operational insights.
  • Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders and other departments to ensure robust, accurate, and timely reporting infrastructure.
  • Presentation of Insights: Clearly present insights and dashboard strategy to stakeholders.
  • Team Function Ownership: Own horizontal team functions, including monthly project planning, resource allocation, throughput tracking, and project management for timely delivery.
  • Project Scoping: Scope new dashboard and data visualization projects by gathering requirements, estimating effort, and defining success metrics.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure dashboards and data products meet high standards of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail, especially for executive and cross-functional audiences.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and be a supportive, proactive team player.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar roles.
  • Management Experience: At least 1 year in a people management or mentorship capacity.
  • Tableau Proficiency: Advanced Tableau experience, including dashboard development, data source management, and administration.
