Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
  • At least 7 years of experience in analysis
  • Strategic and analytic orientation with a proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics, complemented by strong quantitative orientation
  • Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity as a tenacious decision maker with a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach
  • Solid people leadership experience to build and leverage high-performing teams and business partners, foster innovation, drive decisions, hold partners accountable, and deliver results
  • Strong executive communication skills with impeccable written and oral communication, strategic influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Clear results orientation with intense focus on achieving short- and long-term goals in uncertain environments
  • Successful track record of thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environments (previous consulting experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Integrate Discover Operational Risk reporting capabilities into Risk Analytical Solutions (RAS)
  • Develop and execute a vision for the future of RAS in partnership with Risk Product Management
  • Work closely with leaders across Operational Risk Management to shape the future of the program
  • Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands
  • Manage and develop multiple teams, including leading the integration of the Discover Operational Risk reporting team
  • Coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent
  • Develop and implement new products in conjunction with the product management function
  • Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy
  • Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Partner closely with colleagues across Tech, Product, Finance, and first lines to drive improvements in reporting and analytical capabilities in Operational Risk
