Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science and strong life science including genomics knowledge is preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant, industry-specific Business Development/Sales experience, preferably in a life science area
  • Proven understanding of the local ANZ clinical market and key customers is an advantage, along with technical understanding of NGS, Infectious Diseases and Reproductive Health products
  • Customer Relationship Builder, Ability to think and implement from a customer-centric perspective. Ability to build and develop strong customer relationships
  • Business Development/Sales, Develop and complete strategic action plans to enhance business opportunities and market potential

Responsibilities

  • Drive the clinical business development across clinical clients, delivering breakthrough technology solutions to enable clients to enhance patient management
  • Build a short- and long-term funnel stored in the CRM
  • Build a robust business plan and collaborate with collaborators to surpass expectations and achieve agreed-upon goals for commercial management of the portfolio in clinical accounts
  • Focus the organisation on delighting customers and delivering on the wider Thermo Fisher value proposition
  • Establish relationships with customers across the territory with regular sales calls and a strategic partnership approach
  • Understand competitor and industry activity, keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this in business
  • Manage key sales processes, including tenders, quoting, sales funnels, forecasting, CRM, mobility, territory and account planning, account reviews and driving excellence in process that enable the team and the customers
  • Advance customer satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives, including driving additional assay utilization or menu expansion for existing and new customers
  • Attend conferences, industry exhibitions as required to promote offering and generate new opportunities, including user meetings
  • Partner and work with the local sales, marketing, FAS, FSE teams to build business opportunities and coordinate a company approach with our customers
  • Meet revenue and annual sales targets as set each year for the defined territory and contribute to the achievement of the region goals
  • Spend considerable time on “the road” balanced with the time in the office. Expectation of ~30% travel
