Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent experience in Business/Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst is required. Extensive knowledge of institutional investment products, including exchange-traded products, derivatives, and private/alternative investments, is necessary. Experience in the investment industry, understanding of investment products, trade lifecycle, performance measurement, and risk management is essential. Proficiency in data analysis using SQL or similar languages is also required. Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or an MBA, along with accreditation in process improvement methodologies, are considered assets. Hands-on experience with technologies like PL/SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Power App, Python, Bloomberg Terminal, Excel Power Pivot, MS Visio, Confluence, and JIRA is advantageous. The ability to be self-motivated and work both independently and as part of a product team is crucial.
The Business Analyst will engage business clients to elicit requirements and understand objectives, ensuring delivered solutions meet business intent and provide value. Responsibilities include producing high-quality business analysis documentation, such as functional and non-functional requirements, process workflows, and solution specifications. The role involves documenting data flow and transformation, conceiving and facilitating functional solution alternatives, and demonstrating requirements traceability. The Business Analyst will lead the User Acceptance phase by defining strategy, planning, approving test cases, and overseeing execution. They will also participate in project initiation and planning, contributing to objectives, scope, deliverables, and work estimates. This includes developing approach, work plans, and quality criteria for Business Analysis work packages, collaborating with QA teams on test plans, and mapping user stories with Product delivery teams to define acceptance criteria. The Business Analyst will also coach BA peers and contribute to the improvement of the delivery team, building strong partnerships with various stakeholders.
