Requirements

  • Deep partnership skills with Procurement to implement processes for vendor agreements and software licenses
  • Expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM)
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain governance structures, particularly tier-based vendor models
  • Experience leading performance management for strategic (Tier 1) vendors, including SLAs and value realization

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain a formal, tier-based vendor governance framework scaled by criticality, risk, and spend
  • Directly lead governance and performance management for Tier 1 strategic vendors, ensuring SLA performance and value realization
  • Collaborate with Procurement to integrate governance into vendor lifecycle, including major contract renewals and new vendor onboarding
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor dependencies, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and security requirements
  • Lead cross-functional program for software asset rationalization: inventory, analyze, optimize portfolio, eliminate redundancies, and consolidate licenses
  • Develop and implement processes and tooling to track software utilization and enable automated reclamation of unused licenses for cost savings
  • Redefine and streamline the software request and approval workflow to align new purchases appropriately
