Requirements

  • Physical capability for moderately active work, including walking, standing for long periods, bending to floor level, and handling considerable physical work (with two-person assist and equipment for heavier loads)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, test, and repair water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, medical equipment, testing equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems per manufacturer recommendations and FMCNA procedures
  • Document all maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct and document safety checks and routine tasks timely
  • Perform housekeeping checks, follow up on issues, and clean/disinfect water treatment equipment
  • Ensure testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Maintain safe, clean areas with environmental integrity and aesthetics
  • Conduct building maintenance as needed
  • Coordinate medical waste disposal
  • Collect, organize, and restock supplies
  • Assist in ordering/receiving disposable supplies and creating SAP purchase orders
  • Assist in monthly/quarterly inventory of supplies with cost reporting
  • Evaluate and report current equipment inventory
  • Ensure visibility to patients with daily walk-throughs during treatments, reinforce UltraCare™, and address patient questions/concerns
  • Provide instructive tours of water treatment equipment for patients
  • Process water and dialysate samples, package for shipping
  • Participate in technical QAPI activities documentation
  • Drive FMS culture through values and customer service standards, maintain effective relationships, and resolve customer service issues timely
  • Provide assistance at other facilities/acute programs, transport equipment/supplies as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
