Requirements

Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED, and 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in Billing, Accounting, or Benefits Administration. They must demonstrate the ability to utilize critical thinking to problem-solve complex billing issues, possess a detailed understanding of the billing and premium reconciliation process, and have strong Excel skills, including pivot tables. Furthermore, candidates should be able to learn and adapt to changing technology, and exhibit strong mathematical, analytical, and writing skills, along with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

The Billing Specialist will process group payments, reconcile or audit assigned groups to determine payment variances, monitor assigned accounts for correct billing and timely premium application, research and resolve discrepancies, notify clients of outstanding dues and credits, prepare spreadsheets and statements, provide detailed financial support, participate in annual audits, manage missed deductions, provide training and mentoring to team members, and perform other duties as assigned.
