Requirements

  • 5-7 years managing benefits for startups or small businesses, preferably at a payroll company, benefits platform, or tech-forward brokerage
  • Active Life & Health insurance licenses (must have CA or NY, will support getting licensed in all 50 states)
  • Existing carrier and GA relationships - you should be able to get contracts signed within 30 days
  • Deep expertise in group health insurance - small group vs large group market dynamics, carrier negotiations, and renewal strategies
  • Experience managing 50-100+ group accounts with 95%+ retention rates
  • Experience with benefits technology platforms and API integrations
  • RevOps or Benefits Operations background - you understand both the revenue and systems side
  • Exceptional communication skills - you'll be the face of Warp benefits to our customers

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product to automate the experience: Work with product to build the quote-to-coverage flow that makes benefits as simple as our 10-minute payroll setup
  • Handle benefits operations: Handle benefits onboardings, answer questions, guide clients through renewals and plan changes - you'll be the trusted expert founders rely on to get benefits right
  • Build carrier and GA relationships: Establish and manage relationships with general agencies and carriers to secure better rates, faster quotes, and superior service
  • Create the playbook: Document and systematize the benefits advisory process, building the foundation for a scalable team
  • Scale the team: Within 6 months, hire and lead 1-2 benefits advisors as we grow from 100 to 500+ clients on in-house brokerage
