Requirements

  • Licensed Cosmetology/Esthetician (must display current and active license during all working hours as mandated by the state)
  • Passionate about the beauty industry and customer experience
  • Sales-oriented with skills in personalized sales service, upselling, suggestive selling, and verbal skills to generate sales
  • Product knowledge as a brand expert to answer customer questions in detail
  • Ability to successfully pass assessments of proficiency before performing services
  • Comfortable performing ear-piercing services in all stores and all other applicable services offered in any location
  • Knowledge of latest beauty trends and techniques (beauty enthusiast)
  • Professional appearance in compliance with company policies

Responsibilities

  • Seek out customers to provide a world-class beauty advisor experience
  • Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, including productive upselling and suggestive selling
  • Engage customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs, in-store events, and promotions to close sales of products and services
  • Represent CVS and partner brands, upholding the highest standards of service
  • Perform paid beauty services, including ear-piercing and all other applicable services
  • Educate customers by demonstrating proper product usage, highlighting features and benefits to drive purchases
  • Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients
  • Create and maintain product displays, special promotional materials, and a clean, well-stocked, well-merchandised area compliant with hygiene standards
  • Ensure compliance with CVS sanitation and hazardous waste disposal policies
  • Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service execution training with CVS and partners
  • Participate in and represent CVS at sales programs and/or events
