Requirements

  • Licensed Cosmetology/Esthetician (must display current and active license during all working hours as mandated by the state)
  • Passionate about the beauty industry and customer experience
  • Sales-oriented with skills in personalized sales service, upselling, suggestive selling, and verbal skills to generate sales
  • Ability to provide ear-piercing services in all stores and perform all other applicable services offered in any location worked
  • Successfully pass assessments of proficiency before performing services in store
  • Product knowledge as a brand expert to answer customer questions in detail
  • Knowledge of CVS services, Beauty Club programs, in-store events, and promotions
  • Ability to manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients
  • Maintain professional appearance in compliance with company policies
  • Stay plugged-in to latest beauty trends and techniques (beauty enthusiast)
  • Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service execution training in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Seek out customers to ensure a world-class beauty advisor experience
  • Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, including productive upselling and suggestive selling
  • Use verbal skills confidently to stimulate customer thought processes and generate sales
  • Answer customer questions in detail with product knowledge to maximize sales basket size
  • Engage all customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs, in-store events, and promotions to close sales of products and services
  • Represent CVS and partner brands, upholding the highest standards of service
  • Provide ear-piercing services and all other applicable paid beauty services offered in the location
  • Educate customers by demonstrating proper product usage and highlighting features/benefits to drive purchases
  • Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients
  • Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials in support of brand, corporate, and local advertising
  • Participate in and represent CVS at sales programs and/or events
  • Maintain a beautiful and clean assigned area (well-stocked, well-merchandised, compliant with hygiene standards)
  • Ensure execution of CVS sanitation and hazardous waste disposal policies in a timely and compliant manner
  • Maintain professional colleague appearance at all times
