Requirements

Candidates should possess over 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development, demonstrating proficiency in Go (Golang) and building production-grade, scalable services. Experience with microservice and monolithic architectures, APIs (gRPC, REST), distributed systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD principles is required, along with a proven ability to independently own complex technical projects from design to deployment. Deep experience in cryptography and identity federation principles are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Backend Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain the core backend platform and services using Go, and contribute directly to the open-source OpenTDF project. Responsibilities include tackling complex engineering challenges in data security, scalability, and distributed systems within a multi-language environment, and engineering solutions for enterprise and federal customer deployments, including on-premise and air-gapped scenarios. The role also involves collaborating on the architecture and implementation of multi-language SDKs (Go, Java, JavaScript), mentoring fellow engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and developing well-defined written design documents to foster technical excellence.
