Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain software.
  • Collaborate within a small, dynamic team, participating in whiteboarding sessions, and building backend services and APIs.
  • Conduct thorough and thoughtful code reviews to uphold a high standard of code quality.
  • Support production operations, including building, releasing, and assisting with team on-call duties.
  • Craft clear and concise documentation.

Required:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Go or Java.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Desired:

  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, including containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Polyglot development skills with the ability to work across multiple programming languages and frameworks as needed.

Location

This role is remote. However, hiring is not eligible in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, or WA.

Travel
