Requirements

Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices. Expertise in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, including query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling is required. A solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns, along with experience in building and extending classes, is essential. Experience in designing systems for scalability, optimizing for high-volume transactions, handling concurrency and idempotency, and developing secure and scalable APIs using JWT tokens and queue-based systems is also necessary. Proficiency in at least one other server-side language is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Backend Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals, to create seamless experiences. They will participate in product planning throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle, from discovery to deployment. Responsibilities include developing and enhancing robust new features and APIs, continuously improving industry-leading products, and identifying and fixing bugs efficiently. The engineer will also ensure top-tier products and services through quality engineering and customer-focused development, providing an exceptional customer experience.
