Forward-Deployed Integration Engineer

Position Overview

Deel is seeking a highly technical and collaborative Forward-Deployed Integration Engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You will collaborate directly with strategic customers to understand their technical needs and design and implement impactful solutions, including custom integrations, automation workflows, and complex platform use cases. This role requires empathy, initiative, and creativity, alongside strong coding abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives.
• Design and implement tailored technical solutions, utilizing Deel's and partner Accounting and HCM APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Backend/Frontend Engineers to deliver customer-specific and scalable product improvements.
• Contribute to product planning by providing real-world customer use cases to the roadmap.
• Build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability at "Deel speed."
• Provide exceptional technical support during onboarding, implementation, and post-sale expansion.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to help enterprise customers maximize the value of Deel.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-technical stakeholders and external clients.
• Proven experience delivering client-facing solutions in implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles.
• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer, preferably in SaaS or B2B platforms.
• Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with a deep understanding of software development principles.
