A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with 4+ years of experience developing backend services with Node.js and TypeScript. A solid understanding of API design and backend systems architecture, experience with SQL/Postgres, familiarity with Java in backend development, hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), and familiarity with AWS cloud computing services are necessary. Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, strong communication skills, a teamwork mindset, and a passion for learning are also essential.
The Back End Engineer will support a federal program modernizing Medicare data into a secure, cloud-based platform. This involves working with a collaborative engineering team to design and develop robust API endpoints and services, implement end-to-end testing solutions, and support backend systems for critical health data applications. The role also includes performing other related duties as assigned.
