Position Overview

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe, and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation, and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community, and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

We’re seeking a world-class Automation Engineer to join our growing global IT organization, with a mission to streamline and automate business and IT workflows across CrowdStrike. This role is at the heart of our internal automation strategy, designing and implementing solutions that eliminate manual processes, reduce operational friction, and enable scale through smart, secure automation.

As a Workflow Automation Engineer, you will build integrations between systems, automate approvals, orchestrate service delivery, and empower self-service for users — transforming the CrowdStrike employee experience while improving consistency and security. You will partner across functions including IT, Security, HR, and Finance, leveraging tools such as Power Automate, ServiceNow, Python, APIs, and low-code/no-code platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role based in our Pune, India office, requiring deep problem-solving skills, a passion for automation, and a “One Team, One Fight” spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement workflow automations to support a wide range of use cases across IT, Security, HR, Finance, and Engineering – including onboarding/offboarding, asset management, access provisioning, and ticket routing.
  • Build scalable automations using tools such as Power Automate, ServiceNow Workflows, custom Python scripts, REST APIs, and other integration platforms.
  • Streamline service delivery by eliminating manual steps, reducing handoffs, and enabling self-service through chatbots, forms, and automated approvals.
  • Partner with process owners to understand requirements, identify automation opportunities, and deliver solutions that are secure, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Improve operational efficiency and consistency by enforcing logic, validation, and standardization through automated workflows.
  • Ensure auditability and security in all automation designs – protecting data, managing access controls, and logging actions for traceability.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize automations for performance, reliability, and usage; proactively address failures or edge cases.
  • Document workflows, integrations, and runbooks, and evangelize best practices across teams.
  • Mentor and support others in automation adoption, promoting a culture of operational excellence and digital enablement across the business.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade automations and workflows using low-code platforms (e.g., Power Automate, ServiceNow, Zapier, Workato), scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript), and API integration.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication (OAuth, tokens) and working with JSON/XML payloads.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex processes into automation-friendly components.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (such as ServiceNow), ticketing systems, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems (Okta, Slack, Jira, Zoom, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Passion for automation.
