Candidates should possess 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong skills in Python, React, and JavaScript, along with experience creating LLM-backed tools involving prompt engineering and automated evaluations. They must also demonstrate excellent debugging skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, a high level of ownership and accountability, particularly with sensitive data, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities and experience collaborating with teams outside of product development is required.
The AI Automation Engineer will develop and maintain internal tools and systems to automate existing work and increase employee productivity using AI, collaborating with teams across the business to identify high-impact automation opportunities and rapidly prototype small AI-enabled utilities for swift deployment. They will supervise AI choices in system architecture and technologies, debug complex systems, act as a high-trust owner of systems handling sensitive data, and stay updated on the latest models and tools to apply to their work. Furthermore, the role involves working cross-functionally to ensure tool adoption and deliver value, and being available for meetings and communication during Quora’s coordination hours.
