This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Australian business advisory and accounting firm. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our clients, primarily small to medium-sized businesses. You will be responsible for a wide range of bookkeeping and accounting tasks, contributing directly to the success of our clients.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of solid bookkeeping experience across all functions.
- Knowledge: Demonstrable advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and financial administration, accounts reconciliation, and accounting software.
- Software Proficiency:
- Strong Xero and Excel experience.
- Sound knowledge of Shopify, Stripe, and PayPal transactions.
- Compliance: AU Bookkeeping, AU Accounting.
- Nice to Have: Income Tax knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
- Preparation and review of the general ledger.
- Processing payroll and STP reporting.
- Managing employee bonuses.
- Preparing employee reimbursements.
- Managing superannuation returns and payments.
- Preparation of workers compensation insurance.
- Helping managers with preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Maintaining a fixed asset register.
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliations.
- Preparation and review of accounts payable, receivables, accruals, and prepayments.
- Dealing with suppliers.
- Dealing with customers and debt collection.
- Ad hoc reporting and other duties as required.
