Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CFP, CIMA, CAIA or CFA preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years in asset management sales
  • Strong financial services background with knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sales, partnership, and organizational skills, including profiling and resource deployment
  • Mastery of virtual engagement technology including Webex and Zoom
  • NASD Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) required, willingness to obtain within first few months if not held
  • Clean U-4
  • Proven track record of client engagement, relationship building, and business development
  • Goal-oriented and commercially driven, focused on reaching and exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high degree of attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and appreciation for data analytics
  • Strong passion for the asset management industry and capital markets

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with a Defined Contribution Consultant (External Wholesaler), drive deeper commercial results and expand relationships with the largest and fastest growing retirement financial advisors
  • Cultivate new relationships across discrete client focus list to deliver new client relationships with the next generation of the largest and fastest growing retirement financial advisors
  • Partner closely with key Centers of Influence (COIs) across record keeper partners to create leverage and uncover new commercial opportunities
  • Embrace technology, data-driven targeted sales leads, and the BlackRock selling system to execute virtual client engagements
  • Uncover client needs and deploy the appropriate products, solutions, or resources
  • Demonstrate mastery of BlackRock’s products, solutions, thought leadership, and digital platform
  • Identify and develop relationships with the current and next generation of largest and fastest growing retirement financial advisors
  • Build an efficient and thoughtful strategy to maximize engagement and influence
  • Embrace the firm’s commitment to the client experience and exceed client contact expectations
  • Represent BlackRock’s retirement business (LifePath, Collective Investment Trusts, Co-Manufactured Products, and MF solutions) to retail Wirehouse, RIA, Independent advisors, and key record keeper partners
