Candidates must have 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in retirement, FinTech, or wealth management industries. A deep understanding of how retirement plan advisors manage and grow their practices, along with clear articulation of multi-channel partnerships, is essential. A proven track record of managing sales regions, exceeding targets, and carrying a plan sale through the entire cycle from prospecting to conversion is required. Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience developing and cold calling prospect lists are a must. Experience selling retirement plan record-keeping and administration, previous coverage of the small and emerging corporate retirement plan market, and knowledge of record-keeper, TPA, and 3(16) administrator functions are highly desirable. Financial services certifications such as Series 7 and 66, Series 65, or CFA are a plus. Candidates should also be located in or willing to relocate to the Chicago, IL market.
The Regional Sales Vice President will be the primary driver for gaining distribution and converting retirement plans within their assigned sales region. This role involves identifying and converting strategic partnerships with RIA Aggregators, Broker/Dealers, TPAs, Payroll Providers, and Banks. Responsibilities include developing a retirement plan sales pipeline through key relationships and internal prospecting, including cold calling. The RVP will convert retirement plan opportunities into sales using a repeatable process in partnership with internal sales teams, provide product demonstrations, and possess a thorough understanding of retirement plan record-keeping, administration, and technology. A key duty is building a robust process for handing off sales to implementation and client success teams to ensure a positive client experience and generate repeat business. The RVP will manage and deliver on plan sales and revenue targets and be accountable for plan sponsor revenue generation in their region, while also providing leadership and expertise to the sales team.
