Position Overview

Marqeta is seeking an Associate Manager, Global Network Partnerships to play a key role in building and expanding revenue with our strategic payment network partners. This is a new role focused on data analysis, creating dashboards for leadership, generating training materials, and supporting essential coordination for the Network Partnerships team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a keen eye for detail, strong data retrieval, analysis, and visualization skills, and excellent communication abilities.

The Global Network Partnerships team manages Marqeta’s commercial relationships with our network partners. This role requires experience in the payments industry with a solid understanding of the payments ecosystem.

Marqeta operates on a Flexible First model, allowing this role to be performed remotely anywhere within the United States or from our Oakland, CA headquarters.


The Impact You’ll Have

  • Create and maintain an analytic foundation to enhance leadership's visibility into network partner performance and identify actionable insights for revenue opportunities.
  • Develop a new Network Team P&L to track and highlight the team’s revenue opportunities and achievements.
  • Lead the quarterly data audit function between Finance and Networks teams.
  • Optimize the company's utilization of network data tools to uncover customer growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the internal "go-to" resource for network product requirements and rules, owning the Network Team’s repository of resource materials with company-wide accessibility.
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional teams (including Sales, Solutions, Finance, Data Services, Product, and Marketing) to accelerate customer sales cycles through training and streamlining efforts.
  • Manage the team’s critical initiative tracking to ensure timely visibility of partnership progress for leadership.
  • Drive the creation of compelling, high-impact presentations to inform strategic decisions by leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Oversee the team’s repository of key documents and accelerators, maintaining appropriate controls and document integrity.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience, preferably at a payments network, processor, or financial institution, with a Bachelor’s degree. Knowledgeable of the payments ecosystem and money movement attributes.
  • Data Analytics Skills: Outstanding talent in data modeling and data visualization. Ability to conduct research, analyze data, develop hypotheses, and synthesize recommendations. Experience in Looker Studio, Excel/Google Sheets, or Tableau is preferred.
  • Financial Analysis: Experience with payment network pricing/economics and general financial P&L management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise communications and presentations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Documentation Proficiency: Proven ability to create templated reference or training materials.
  • Organization: Exceptional organization with meticulous attention to detail, capable of maintaining accuracy while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to navigate changing priorities with ease.
