Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Sciences, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Bio-Technology, or Equivalent from a premium institute (Required)
  • Masters in Engineering or Masters in Technology in Computer Sciences, Bio-Medical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Bio-Technology, or Equivalent from a premium institute (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 18+ years of applicable work experience in a SW product development and Global team environment
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on software development experience in implementing large to medium complex software architectures
  • 5+ years experience in technical leadership or hands-on experience on Enterprise Software applications (e.g., Web/Cloud)
  • 8+ years of People and project management experience in Software
  • Experience in managing large, complex technology initiatives of strategic importance to the organization involving cross-functional teams
  • Experience owning, supervising, and delivering concurrent software releases using iterative/agile techniques, ensuring on-time delivery and good quality
  • Prior experience in a large MNC as Senior Engineering Manager (desired)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a deep technical understanding of GBU product lines and technologies
  • Experience in developing departmental budget and managing expenses in line with organizational objectives; approving departmental expenditures including capital and manpower expenses
  • Excellent Technology management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated success executing complex engineering projects with diverse technical teams
  • Management of globally dispersed teams (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Focus on Acute Care and Monitoring Operating Unit (ACM OU) Software R&D efforts at Hyderabad
  • Enhance innovation processes, refine design and delivery approaches to enable product leadership across product portfolio
  • Provide Software Engineering Management
  • Provide People Management
  • Oversee software development and ensure comfort with SW development practices and models
  • Manage product development activities
  • Conduct strategic customer engagement
  • Oversee design, development, and verification-testing activities during NPD and Sustaining phases of product development
  • Support design transfer for products under development
  • Manage activities across the product development lifecycle including Upstream R&D, Concept, Feasibility, Development, Qualification, and Post-Market support
  • Own, supervise, and deliver concurrent software releases using iterative/agile techniques
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and expenses
  • Execute complex engineering projects with diverse and globally dispersed teams
