Requirements

The ideal candidate must be a licensed behavioral health practitioner, such as a psychologist, social worker, therapist, or counselor, and possess at least three years of experience managing clinical teams with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team. Preference is given to candidates with experience in direct care provision of substance use disorders (SUD), particularly within acute settings like IOP, PHP, Residential, or Inpatient/Detox, and experience providing clinical care to both adults and adolescents. Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatments for SUD, including harm reduction, recovery-oriented, and abstinence-based models, along with familiarity with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria, is required. Experience with healthcare systems and familiarity with EHRs and electronic case management tools are also necessary.

Responsibilities

As the Associate Director, Substance Use Disorder Programs, the candidate will serve as a clinical lead for SUD providers, peer recovery, and care navigation teams, leading the design and development of comprehensive SUD treatment programs and scaling the existing program. They will be responsible for monitoring and driving team performance on KPIs, including engagement in care, and partnering with various teams to drive program KPIs. The role involves developing integrations with health plans and building referral channels, supporting sales and account management teams as a clinical expert, and managing external partner provider relationships. Furthermore, the candidate will launch net new services for the SUD program by EOY, maintain clinical quality and utilization outcomes, and scale existing SUD services.
