Requirements

  • Significant technical expertise to review and approve complex design concepts
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulated industry, plant GMP/Quality requirements, safety compliance, financials, and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence inter functions and serve as PM backup (once knowledgeable of the site)
  • In-depth knowledge of automation and digitalization solutions

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in the development of new ideas, products, processes, and techniques
  • Directs through management team the completion of complex projects or programs within boundaries of quality, time, and budget
  • Provides technical direction to staff and fosters an environment of creativity and innovation
  • Manages Engineering Managers (Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance, Pest Control, CAPA, Steam, and other areas)
  • Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance, Automation, Digitalization, and Steam areas
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints
