Requirements

  • Ability to establish and manage relationships with 3rd party content and services providers, including stock exchanges (primarily in EMEA & Americas regions)
  • Experience in negotiating commercial and contractual terms related to internal use and external redistribution of data across proprietary products
  • Capability to implement internal controls to ensure compliance with content and services contracts
  • Based in London, UK
  • Knowledge of S&P Global’s products, 3rd party vendor partners, and the financial information and market data industry (to be developed continuously)

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial deal and contractual negotiations – selecting vendors, negotiating commercial terms, finalizing agreements, obtaining approvals, and managing rights/obligations post-execution; collaborate with CARM colleagues for larger partnerships
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party content/service providers (including stock exchanges), staying updated on offerings and market data policies
  • Forge relationships with key internal stakeholders, understanding their products, content, and business needs
  • Work with businesses to create strategies for product creation, enhancements, and revenue growth; execute by presenting approvals/recommendations to buy, build, or license content/services
  • Partner with stakeholders to review content/service requests, document them, and create/manage RFI/RFPs for vendors
  • Lead contract renewal processes for assigned vendors/agreements, assessing re-evaluation/re-negotiation opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with license grants, recommending actions on risks
  • Maintain accurate summaries of vendor relationships, contracts, and policy terms
  • Meet with stakeholders/vendors, review news/periodicals, attend training/events to grow knowledge of S&P products/services, vendors, and industry
  • Implement/promote global best practices, identify data optimization opportunities, abide by CARM standards, and evolve processes/workflows
  • Coordinate and facilitate the sharing of content/data across the organization
