The candidate should have 1-2 years of experience administering Linux-based servers, including package management, systemd, SSH, networking tools, and basic performance tuning. They must also have 1-2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible, and the ability to write and troubleshoot automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Go. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), exposure to Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems, and experience with observability and monitoring tools like Datadog are essential. Comfort working with Git and CI/CD pipelines is also required. Nice-to-have qualifications include hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP), familiarity with GitOps and continuous integration tools, experience running home labs or personal servers, and experience in blockchain activities.
The Associate DevOps Engineer will support infrastructure for high-performance blockchain validator nodes in production. They will implement infrastructure automation using Ansible, help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployments, and collaborate with senior engineers on system upgrades, deployments, and issue resolution. The role involves participating in the on-call rotation for monitoring, alerting, and incident response for production blockchain deployments. Additionally, the engineer will expand their knowledge of Linux, cloud infrastructure, networking, and blockchain fundamentals, and collaborate with protocol teams to deploy and launch new blockchain protocols.
