Requirements

  • Approximately 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Approximately 1-3 years of technical architecture experience
  • Basic knowledge of general security concepts and methods (e.g., vulnerability assessments, data classification, privacy assessments, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architectures, and governance)
  • Awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to privacy and data protection (e.g., PCI DSS, GLBA, Basel II, EU Data Protection Directive, International Cross Border, U.S. State Data Privacy Laws)
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, virtual machine environments, mainframe security packages, and relational database management systems
  • Proven self-starter with strong technical and soft skills (problem-solving, communication, ability to participate in diverse project teams and interface with customers, vendors, and colleagues)
  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs
  • Valid driver's license in the US
  • Willingness to pursue related professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)
  • Eligible for full-time remote work in any Canadian province except Québec
  • Participation in 3-4 large projects delivering against a structured methodology (prior experience)

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain productive and respectful relationships with delivery team, practice management, and client management team
  • Actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives
  • Deliver timely engagements and work closely with Practice Directors to drive training, education, career development, performance development, and collaboration across the team
  • Confirm work meets Optiv’s highest quality standards by reviewing work provided by other members
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Optiv delivery methodology
  • Deliver with minimal technical assistance on simple (single solution) projects
  • Participate in technology deployment activities, connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing and bug-related engineering efforts
  • Assist in design and implementation of specific technology build processes
  • Serve as an effective team communicator
  • Provide specific, useful upward feedback on deliverables
  • Maintain general awareness of the security/technology space as a whole
  • Act as a participant in Optiv communities for solutions of focus
