Requirements

  • Reside within the assigned territory (Dayton, OH region) and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work remotely in a field-based role
  • Flexibility with schedule, including outside normal business hours, weekends, after hours, and travel to cover district cases as needed
  • Proficiency with Excel, mobile phone, iPad, laptop, and/or Samsung tablet
  • Completion of all new hire therapy trainings, corporate compliance training, and understanding of applicable quality policy/system items

Responsibilities

  • Represent Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring equipment and products are available, providing technical support, device selection, programming, and testing
  • Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on Medtronic products' features and benefits
  • Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics
  • Respond promptly to technical inquiries from customers, patients, and colleagues
  • Maintain working knowledge of competitive products
  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products and therapies via one-on-one sessions, in-services, education programs, seminars, and symposia
  • Assist in education/training of new employees in the district
  • Comply with event reporting and documentation using Medtronic tools
  • Place orders with customer service for purchase orders and product replacement; work with materials management to collect POs
  • Manage inventory for case coverage, including transactions, cycle count accuracy, product retrievals, turnover, and avoiding expired/held product
  • Contribute to quarterly goals at district, regional, and/or national levels
  • Partner with sales representatives to achieve business goals and document activities using business tools
  • Visit accounts to replenish literature and maintain relationships with office staff
  • Manage business expenses and budget effectively
  • Engage in basic market development activities as needed
