Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach employees in providing efficient and friendly service at registers and throughout the store
  • Address personnel and performance issues, including coaching, verbal/written warnings, and consulting on discipline/termination
  • Ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures
  • Assist in AOP budgeting process and achieve budgeted sales, profits, and shrinkage control with emphasis on front-end
  • Participate in annual inventory process, including preparation and execution
  • Train front-end and other employees on required programs
  • Ensure staff comply with company policies, procedures, SOPs; maintain safe facility
  • Provide day-to-day direction to floor employees, including schedules, goals, and Manager-on-duty functions
  • Plan in-store demonstrations, including setup, sampling, and suggestive selling
  • Assist in overseeing product receiving, returns, restocking, and merchandising programs (promotions, signage)
  • Communicate merchandising/marketing programs to employees and oversee execution/reporting
  • Analyze monthly store reports, evaluate expenses/performance, address variances with action plans
  • Ensure proper employee scheduling to meet business objectives
  • Ensure employees understand emergency operating procedures
  • Accept special assignments from Store Manager
  • Adhere to, communicate, and enforce all company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Contribute to overall store financial performance, including merchandising/stocking, expense control, sales/profitability goals
  • Manage front-end operations for accurate purchases, shrink control, and customer service training
