Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting

May be required to provide detailed background information for specialized licenses (e.g., for stores selling alcohol/tobacco)

Responsibilities

Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
Perform opening and closing procedures
Process corporate directives (e.g., Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey, store communications)
Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention
Maintain store areas (sales floor, stockroom) to company standards
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
Adhere to policies/procedures (e.g., safety guidelines) and ensure associates follow them
Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
Ensure positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
Maintain store cleanliness (e.g., bathrooms, floors, trash, neat presentation)
Other duties as assigned
