Requirements

  • At least 10+ years’ experience, preferably at a top law firm and/or in-house with a technology or SaaS company
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating commercial and licensing agreements (data, content, indexes, technology transactional agreements, strategic partnership agreements)
  • Experience providing end-to-end product support, including researching and understanding data rights and regulatory considerations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, and product teams across multiple regions, particularly in the United States
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and clients
  • Bachelor of Law
  • Understanding of the legal and business aspects of licensing data, including supervised data, alternative data, indexes, financial information, software and/or technology products and services
  • Ability to analyze sophisticated contracts optimally
  • Knowledge of intellectual property and data privacy/data security

Responsibilities

  • Providing end-to-end product support, researching and understanding data rights and regulatory considerations, and advising senior-level partners on product development and improvement
  • Drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating a variety of commercial and licensing agreements
  • Working closely with sales, operations, and product teams to ensure Company objectives are met
  • Providing legal mentorship and support to internal businesses and operations globally
  • Representing the company’s positions in commercial matters (with supervision from senior lawyers)
  • Keeping up to date and providing mentorship on regulations impacting Nasdaq products and services
