Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification (must be maintained in good standing)
In Florida, qualifier certification through the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for retail propane oversight
Yearly certification for a forklift license (BJ’s covers applicable costs and training)
Strong business acumen through strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making
Leadership competencies including modeling change, effective communication, building high-performing teams, delivering results, developing talent, and displaying leadership (fostering trust, open communication, conflict resolution, inclusive relationships)
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Closing Manager to provide leadership and direction within the club and drive club performance
When serving as Manager on Duty (MOD), oversee recovery, utility, and Perishable departments (Produce, Meat, Bakery, Deli, Dairy/Freezer) as well as overnight prep to ensure all areas are clean, stocked, and ready for morning open
Maintain policies and procedures
Deliver a positive service experience to members
Provide Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) club conditions
Assist in audit compliance efforts
Drive collaboration with Business Partners (BPs)
Oversee onboarding, certification, and training to ensure food safety and operational excellence
Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for the club as needed, taking full responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and Member engagement during assigned shifts
