Responsibilities

  • Drive Business Results (50%): Achieve revenue and margin goals by accomplishing market share growth
  • Manage all profit and loss targets including sales, contribution of margin, inventory turns, GMROI, and DOS
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to influence stakeholders and make recommendations
  • Perform vendor management: collaborate and negotiate with manufacturers and vendors to achieve in-year sales and margin goals for long-term success and partnership
  • Manage P&L forecasting and pull levers to drive P&L
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Relationship Building (35%): At the direction of Senior Category Manager or DMM, embrace organizational improvement initiatives and act as a change agent
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures that promote ethical behavior, compliance, and best practices
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between departments to achieve organizational goals
  • Drive change agility in self, team, and network
  • Measure retention and key performance indicator results on an ongoing basis and provide recurring readout to senior leadership in partnership with cross-functional business leads
  • Leverage a results-oriented mindset using metrics to monitor improvements
  • Develop and manage a standardized set of views to internally monitor macro-level trends and key drivers
