Minimum 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products required (1 year or more preferred)
Working knowledge of basic math preferred
May have certification in area of expertise including welding, etc
Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Completes work area setup
Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
Operates equipment and tools as required to complete the assembly process
Prevents and controls waste of raw material
Conducts quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
Maintains production records as required
Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
Processes raw lumber into parts required for assembly as needed
Records the use of raw materials and parts correctly
Provides assembly training to new-hires and re-trains employees as directed
Performs other duties as assigned
