Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those 5 years in medical sales
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of Medtronic Neuroscience (Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist experience or Sales Rep I experience along with 2 years of additional prior sales or clinical experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reside within the territory (Houston, TX area) and ability to drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Ability to be independently mobile, interact with a computer for extended periods, talk/hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, adjust focus, and carry products
  • Approximately 50% overnight travel required via driving throughout territory (air travel when required)
  • Ability to maintain and transport demonstration equipment to customers’ premises

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and other key purchase influencers to demonstrate, in-service, and sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies capital and disposable products
  • Successfully execute Sales Action Plans, including use of own vehicle and transportation of heavy inventory
  • Plan, strategize, and execute sales calls to all relevant hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and doctors’ offices in the territory
  • Work or attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory
  • Provide support and service to clinical personnel related to the products in a surgical environment
  • Keep and maintain company-owned property and inventory in good working condition
  • Report competitive activity within the territory to the Region Manager and maintain all records and reports as requested in a timely fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned
