Requirements

Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree (BS/BA) and have a minimum of 8+ years of sales management or strategic account management experience, or relevant experience in marketing within the animal health industry. A Master's degree in animal science is a plus. The role requires a valid driver's license, a willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time (including some weekends), and the ability to work on beef operations, including hands-on tasks with cattle. Knowledge of the Beef industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Area Business Manager will lead all aspects of planning, execution, and performance for a sales area exceeding $40 million in annual sales, focusing on meeting overall sales objectives and launching new products. This includes attracting, developing, and retaining talent, spending over 50% of time coaching direct reports in the field, and executing initiatives to enhance solution selling and business planning capabilities. The manager will develop and execute an Area Plan, identify key account growth opportunities using data systems, share best practices with peers, and collaborate with Area Technical Service to ensure performance in targeted accounts and develop direct reports' technical competence.
