Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • 15 years full-time education
  • Must have: Microsoft SQL Server Administration
  • In-depth MS SQL Server Database Administration experience in Cloud, develop, test, or demonstrate databases
  • Experience managing multiple SQL RDBMS on large systems, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery, and configuration management
  • Ability to install DBMS and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation for problem resolution and maintenance
  • Skills in database refresh to non-production DB, daily database health check monitoring, tuning, and minor SQL reviews
  • Ability to manage Production and Non-prod databases, handle tickets (incidents, service requests, problem management)
  • Ability to articulate issues, be responsive to clients, handle client communication, configuration, and release management
  • Ability to document Root Cause Analysis, design and build enablement, build management
  • Understanding and management of Application Architecture, User Management, Module Management, Service Delivery per SLAs
  • Database administration for Production and other environments, Backup and Recovery activities, DR activities
  • Performance Tuning, Backup/Restore activities, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues, knowledge of related tools
  • Well-versed in Database migration methodologies, proven performance tuning and SQL tuning skills
  • Well-versed in PostgreSQL & MSSQL Patching, upgrades, and migration activities
  • Responsible for performance test planning and execution, Database optimization, Database security admin
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • On-call support based on project agreement
  • Cloud Database Administrator skills for implementation and configuration

Responsibilities

  • Perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Actively participate and contribute in team discussions
  • Contribute to providing solutions to work-related problems
  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for application support
  • Document and maintain records of issues and resolutions to enhance knowledge sharing within the team
  • Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development database systems within a defined operating model and processes
  • Provide L2/L3 software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all servers, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems
  • Analyze system performance
  • Ensure smooth operation of applications vital to business functions
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and provide timely solutions
  • Work closely with affected parties to resolve issues
