Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a similar field, with a focus on optics and photonics
  • Experience in business development and sales or strong interest to develop in those areas
  • Broad instrumentation and signal processing knowledge applicable to lock-in amplifiers, PIDs and AWGs with practical scientific lab experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; fluency in English is a must
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset for the high-tech sector
  • Willingness to travel internationally 30-40%

Responsibilities

  • Build and expand relationships with customers to drive our business in the test & measurements segment with a focus on optics and photonics
  • Provide application-specific customer support, including on-site test measurements and system integration
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities – from market analysis and initial outreach to demonstrating technical feasibility
  • Collaborate with product management to align business opportunities with product development
  • Represent Zurich Instruments at major trade shows and networking events, generating leads and building visibility
  • Create and contribute to technical content to create visibility of proven solutions
