Requirements

Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles. Expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, is required. Hands-on experience with Metabase, Orb, Salesforce, Snowflake, and ETL tools is necessary. Strong statistical and data science skills, including experimentation, modeling, forecasting, and ML workflows, are essential. A builder's mindset focused on scalability, reusability, and iteration speed, along with intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and a bias for action, are critical. Experience with Salesforce, Orb, and Stripe data is strongly preferred, and experience using AI in workflows is a bonus.

Responsibilities

The Analytics Engineer will own the full data lifecycle, including designing, building, and maintaining reliable ETL/ELT pipelines. They will architect resilient dbt models and schemas to serve as the trusted source of truth. Responsibilities include shaping the modern data stack by evolving tools, infrastructure, and architecture. They will partner with Leadership, growth, and GTM teams to build datasets and models that unlock insights and product features. The role involves establishing best practices for data validation, governance, documentation, and metric definitions to improve quality and discoverability. Additionally, they will create intuitive data products and tools to enable self-service analytics for non-technical teams and experiment with emerging AI/ML and data tools to shape the future of data at Tavus.
