Twilio is seeking an Analytics Engineer to play a critical role in shaping and scaling web analytics strategy across Twilio.com. This role involves implementing and maintaining analytics tracking, ensuring clean, consistent, and actionable data. The position offers an opportunity to become a company-wide subject matter expert in web analytics, collaborating with various teams to enhance tracking infrastructure and data utilization.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in web analytics implementation or a similar technical analytics role.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Web and Development teams to implement and maintain scalable web analytics tracking using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Segment.
  • Define and maintain structured data layer requirements to support analytics and marketing needs.
  • Configure and maintain key analytics tools, including GA4, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Tableau.
  • Perform QA and debugging of analytics tags and data flows using browser dev tools, tag debuggers, and proxy tools.
  • Optimize data integration between the Customer Data Platform (CDP) and GA4.
  • Support integration of web analytics data with BI platforms, data warehouses, and data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, S3, Segment).
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all tracked platforms.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) in tracking setup and manage data deletion requests in accordance with user consent in managed platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver performance-conscious, scalable tracking solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, including merging three distinct brands/websites into a unified domain, expanding use of CDP-housed data within GA4, and streamlining internal analytics workflows using AI to reduce manual effort and increase stakeholder value.
  • Maintain tracking specifications, documentation, and internal enablement resources.
  • Support GA4 analysis and ad-hoc reporting requests (e.g., site performance, A/B tests, content engagement).
  • Create and maintain dashboards using Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Continuously drive improvements in tracking capabilities, data integrity, and stakeholder enablement.
