Responsibilities
- Establishes hiring needs with line managers and determines position requirements
- Advertises jobs through newspaper, internal on-line posting and job fairs
- Advises managers on the best sources for hiring
- Reviews and sorts internal and external resumes
- Pre-screens entry level candidates, through face-to-face and telephone interviews
- Schedules interviews
- Presents Northern Trust as an employer of choice
- Communicates Northern Trust's hiring policies, practices and procedures
- Provides service center with new hire information for employee orientation
- Reviews sources of candidate data (tests, interviews assessments) and makes hiring recommendations to managers
- Ensures that all hiring documentation is complete and meets compliance requirements
- Communicates job duties and responsibilities, compensation, work schedules, and working conditions to applicants
- Maintains recruiting reports and applicant tracking database
- Runs reports for hiring managers and may run complex reports and undertake analysis of recruitment statistics
