Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred); Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (a plus)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) (a plus)
Experience in financial services (preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
In-depth functional/industry knowledge
Technical skills/systems knowledge (e.g., Peoplesoft) (preferred)
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a global team across multiple time zones and jurisdictions
Responsible for staying current on SOX/SOC/CCAR regulations and industry changes

Responsibilities

Evaluate risk and likely sources of potential misstatement for significant processes
Maintain relationships with control owners to provide guidance and training regarding CCAR program and requirements
Assist in developing regular presentations to Management and Audit Committee on relevant topics
Communicate with partners at all levels, developing and presenting recommendations on operations and controls for the business unit
Partner and communicate with teams across business to move key initiatives forward
Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
Serve as a key subject matter expert and manage daily operational activities
Work to meet deadlines and deliver work product that requires less revision
Facilitate discussions independently and reach decisions
Utilize understanding of various Corporate units to ensure operations, services, and systems have proper controls in place
Apply analytical skills to review information and determine potential control weaknesses
Develop a thorough understanding of the Northern Trust Methodology and adhere to all applicable Department Standards
