Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector, in implementing and maintaining Environmental and Integrated SMS Management Systems, environmental licensing processes, environmental impact studies related to biodiversity, MA and SMS indicators, internal and external MA and QSMS audits
  • Knowledge of technical standards and legislation on Environmental Licensing applicable to the oil and gas sector
  • Proficiency in handling computerized environmental licensing systems
  • Basic reading knowledge in English
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software package
  • Ability to communicate with communities and make presentations
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge in ecology and sustainability projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Oceanography, Chemistry, or related fields
  • Postgraduate degree in Environment, Occupational Safety, Quality, SMS, Oil and Gas, Project Management, Auditing, Expertise and Environmental Licensing, Biologist, Cytologist, Hydrobiologist, Histologist, Insectologist, Microbiologist, or related fields

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in maintaining natural resources with a focus on biodiversity preservation, monitoring compliance with environmental licensing conditions for company projects, prioritizing protection and conservation, and supporting the application of methods, processes, and techniques for conservation, environmental monitoring, and management
  • Support the development and application of biological, chemical, and oceanographic methods, processes, and techniques related to company projects, works, installations, and structures across all project phases
  • Support ecological and sustainability analyses for issuing technical opinions, analytical processes, risk assessments, and environmental audits, participating in work teams to prepare reports and technical documentation for submission to competent authorities
  • Act directly in support of Environmental Licensing and Monitoring related to Biodiversity
