Position Overview

Quince is seeking a hands-on, high-performing Americas Sourcing Manager – Furniture to lead vendor relationships and sourcing strategy for North America-based furniture categories, with a particular focus on Made-to-Order (MTO) upholstery products. This individual contributor role will be responsible for driving vendor onboarding and development, quality adherence, cost negotiations, and operational excellence across U.S., Canadian, and Mexican partners, including fabric mills.

The role reports initially to the Head of Global Sourcing and will eventually report to the VP of Home Sourcing. You will partner closely with the Home Merchandising team and lead factory engagement across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Own sourcing strategy and vendor relationships for North America-based manufacturers of furniture products (MTO and stocked) and fabric mills.
  • Lead cost negotiations, contracts, and margin improvement initiatives with Americas-based suppliers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new factory partners with high quality, scalable capacity, and reliable lead times.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, and Ops to bring new products to market quickly and reliably.
  • Visit key partners regularly to troubleshoot issues, audit quality and delivery performance, and build long-term relationships.
  • Drive factory-side product development cycles in collaboration with Design and Merchandising.
  • Drive successful order processing with our vendors: reviewing production timelines to ensure vendors are hitting SLAs, working with vendors to accelerate production timelines, optimizing quick ship performance, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sourcing experience, with a strong track record in U.S. furniture manufacturing and vendor management.
  • Deep understanding of furniture production processes (including MTO and casegoods) and experience in the premium/luxury furniture industry.
  • Strong negotiator with commercial acumen and attention to margin optimization.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and adaptable; thrives in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Based in the U.S., with the ability to travel to vendors 1-2 times per month.
  • Bonus: Experience at higher-end furniture brands or as an e-commerce Category Manager.
