Requirements

Candidates should possess prior experience in a related Consulting, Strategic Sourcing, Project Management or Process Improvement role, along with analytical skills, the ability to train and mentor project teams, and a desire to learn and grow. Additional qualifications include proven analytical and quantitative skills, experience conducting financial analysis and research, strong data collection and analysis abilities, capacity to prioritize workload, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain or Management Information Systems is required, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience in an industry or consulting environment focused on strategic sourcing, process improvement, project management, and/or financial analysis. Candidates must also have permanent U.S. work authorization and be willing to relocate to Chicago immediately.

Responsibilities

As a Sourcing Consultant, the role involves working closely with project team members and client personnel to facilitate requirements gathering, research best practices, leverage internal intellectual property, and conduct data analysis to implement cost savings and process improvement opportunities. The position requires responding to client needs with direction and support, supporting cross-functional teams and initiatives, recognizing important results, using critical thinking skills to address problems, producing thorough data sets and written communications, and occasionally traveling up to 10% for domestic or international engagements.
