Candidates must be US Citizens and able to obtain a low-level security clearance. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is required, with a Ph.D. or equivalent experience being a plus. The role requires 7+ years of experience in software development, data science, or applied machine learning, with strong knowledge of LLM architectures like BERT, RAG, and GPT. Familiarity with cloud-native AI stacks on AWS, Azure, or GCP, hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face, and practical understanding of vector search, embeddings, knowledge graphs, and RAG pipelines are essential. Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot is also necessary. Experience working across product, design, and business teams to shape AI-powered features and services is expected. Bonus qualifications include understanding of responsible AI principles, experience with specific AWS or Azure AI services, familiarity with AI/ML applications in federal health or veterans' services, and past involvement in business development or innovation labs. Candidates located in the DMV area are strongly preferred.
The AI Solutions Architect will design and deliver production-ready AI/ML solutions for federal partners, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and stakeholder teams to shape technical strategies and implement scalable, secure AI systems. This role involves defining the company's AI technical vision, supporting growth and sales efforts, and guiding small teams through agile experimentation and delivery cycles. Responsibilities include analyzing complex systems to design AI-powered solutions, explaining LLM architectures to non-technical stakeholders, designing scalable and secure ML workflows, and rapidly iterating and shipping prototypes using AI-assisted development tools. The architect will also lead and mentor small teams of engineers to deliver quick-turn solutions and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), communicate clearly and present solutions including live demos to federal stakeholders, and perform other related duties as assigned.
